Learning to drive in Underwood
Underwood sits on the border of Brisbane and Logan, about 21 km south-east of the Brisbane CBD. Compton Road forms its southern boundary and the Logan Motorway runs along part of its edge, with quick access to the Pacific Motorway. That makes it a great suburb for practising multi-lane roads, lane changes and busy intersections.
Underwood is also close to the Springwood busway station, Kuraby railway station and the Logan North library on Springwood Road. For first lessons, we start on the quieter residential streets and work up to the main roads at your pace.
There are no schools in Underwood itself, but school zones in the suburbs next door, like Eight Mile Plains, Kuraby and Springwood, are part of many local drives.
